Money In The Bank History

The Money in the Bank ladder match is an exclusive match to World Wrestling Entertainment. The match was held annually beginning in 2005 at WWE's biggest PPV event WrestleMania. In 2010 the match was turned into a PPV concept. The match has involved six to ten participants across all WWE brands. The object of the match is to climb the ladder and retrieve a briefcase above the ring which contains the Money In The Bank contract. The contract guarantees a match for one of WWE's world titles, the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship for any time up to a year.
